i love a good sale

holy sale.
between last night and tonight we got an amazing deal on food! last night we went over to hy-vee for pumpkins and the cute old lady at our check out told us about the cereal sale. you buy 6 boxs and get a $10 off cupon which makes the total $0! what a deal! then she also told us about the deal going on tonight, something about olden days prices. so i met josh over there tonight and boy did we shop. the parking lot was packed. there were hardly any carts left in the entry-way it was so busy. i love a good sale and dont mind a croud. i made it out with two bags of groceries for under $20!

Best Day

Today was a great day!
1. I was offered the medical job
2. UPS brought me a package

I interviewed last wk for the job and had my second interview Monday. And I got the confirmation call today!

The surprising package that I got today was from Creating Keepsakes! When Casey and I went to the scap convention a couple of wks ago we entered into a lot of drawings. I must had won 2nd place in one and recieved this huge box of craft book! What a great day!

This afternoon I ran errunds with Rory since it was so beatuiful out. Then took Reagan (by himself) to the park to run. They both like to have their own special time.

Tonight Matt and Josh got pumpkins to carve and went out to dinner to celebrate my new job!

scary movie nite

last night.
last night we had a scary movie night at josh's house. we met up and watched 3 scary movie: trick r treat, halloween by rob zombie, and the strangers. wow. trick r treat had terrible filmography and a bad storyline. halloween was great and with a good storyline. the strangers was scary bc it is alway the "what if factor" that makes it so scary. i had everyone take photos with their scared faces...

Amazing red bushes!!

while i was out walking Reagan i found these amazing bushes in our neighborhood. lately i have been obcessing over all the changing leaves in town. i thought it would be perfect to get a few photos of the pups in front of the bushes, being that they were so close to our place. it was finally nice weather too, no rain that day. These are un-edited and there are many more. I am so happy Mr. Reagan was photogenic bc he is usually so hard to get a decient photo of.

over by campus there was this huge orange tree probably the only orange tree on the block.

some flowering bushes by our mailbox unit! they look really purple in this photo and it reminds me of Nicole.

as the sun was going down i was able to get this small tree in our neighborhood. the light was shining so brightly through the trees infront of this one and lite up the changing leaves so nice.

fall is so beautiful. tonight about six matt and i drove to campus and got a few neat photos. we are trying to be patient and wait for the leaves to turn but there are not that many trees turning yet.

i was able to capture a few very fall moments.

roadtrip

what a wonderful trip to colorado. it was perfect weather. the guys hike the hoosier pass and then tom, alex and i drove up after lunch. this photo is at the top of hoosier.

home and sleepy

we g0t home from colorado and crashed. reagan was so sleepy that he and matt were sleeping together on the couch. i thought it was worth a photo to capture that.

it is always nice to get away but always nice to get home!

My Work

I love this layout. This is when Matt and I went with my cousin and her bf to the Plaza Art Festival. I forgot to get the newspaper with the front page ad so i found the photo on google and printed it on kraft paper and i love it! the large photo on the right is from an artist's booth that was amazing at photography, which makes my page look great!

This photo is also front the art festival. my cousin and i. i dont have too many of these photos and thought that it needed to be on a page of its own.

this layout only took a few moment. i was trying to keep it suttle but wanted to bring in some color in the title.

i love my marvy punchs. when i have several photos that are close up i print them as a collage. four photos on a 4x6. then i punch them out with my giga marvy punch for this layout. i wanted to make this layout fun and happy so i chose a paper that i love and cut out the bird and just used a small stip from the bottom. This layout was very quickly put together as well. When i get the photos trimmed and the size i want i lay it on the page the best it fits.

these are some of my very favorite photos. they are from a trip to colorado that my brother had taken. i made this layout and chose to write about something not in the photos but the person in the photos (me). writing about something unrelated is new for me and i really enjoyed branching out.

i have been printing my newest and most recient photos same week as the photos are taken and this has motivated me to work faster and get more layouts completed in my time allowed. sorry i was unable to get my scrolling layouts to work but this will do for now. these are only a few from the other days work completed. enjoy

Finds

my find at ckc this year! there were many good deals but disapointed that there were several booths that had pre-made page kits. I am not a fan and would prefer to have more paper vendors! had a great time and have already used several of the papers! the tim holtz tiny stapler is my new best friend!! i have been waiting for this to come out since i love love love my stapler! i found this baby for only $10! what-a-deal!

At CKC!!

What a cute idea! These little drinking cups with ribbon in them! I had to get a photo with the green cup!

Casey and I at the Creating keepsakes Convention in KC! It was really nice that it wasn't super busy when we got there. I was worried that there would be shoulder to shoulder women. When we got there there was only a small line and the booths were spread out well too. I was surprised that there wasn't more venders because it didn't take us very long to walk the entire thing.

Overall CKC was a success! I found several bargins and look forward to the next one!

my neighbors

today
so my inlaws were in town this weekend and they wanted to drive down the street to see the head basketball coach's house, and his neighbor across the street has 3 zebras and a large camel! AND they were outside today!!! Everytime we drive by they are never out of the barn!

so i jumped out of the car and matt took my photo for proof that we live down the street from zebras and a camel! otherwise you may not believe me if i told you...

omg. i am totally ashamed of myself. i cannot believe i haven't blogged about starting Ali's new class, Yesturday and Today! i am sooooo excited!

i just started but i think it is suppose to stay secret what we work on. not sure. but will let you know when i find out what i can say. i wouldn't want to get in trouble by the person i idolize the most in scrapbookland!

oh my rory. what it must feel like to have the wind in your hair...

we are on our way to play at the dog park. i should have taken a before and after photo. my pups were hot from our two hour walk on the trail that they decided to cool their feet in deep mud on the way to the car. thank goodness i got the tub drain fixed from the last time we went to the park and the burrs clogged the drain. nice. doesn't that just make you want to lay in a bath at my house. dont worry, that wont happen.

excited

i am excited bc i think i am going to be signing up for the ali edwards yesturday and today 13 week class! i have big on blogging and reading others' blogs.

today on ali's blog i read about her new 13 week class and how cool it sounds. as i read more and more i am talking myself into how neat it would be to take this class. first of all this class goes until the new year. and bc of this there probably wont be another class until after this...so next year and it may not be the same kind of class.
