First Day

Today was Matt's first day of law school! He was so excited, the antisipation was really building this past week. He starts at 9 a.m. and goes to noon then back again at one until four. Matt told me that he went over and got his favorite for lunch, a taco bravo, at Taco Johns. That can make any that much better.

By the time I got home from work after 7 p.m. he had already done four hours of homework. Good thing my Matty loves school! One day down....
...only 3 years to go!

"It's wedding season"-says Matt

I just returned home from a very long celebration am very very sleepy...but will blog about it anyway.

Today our good friends Emily Knopp and Zack Hood got married. Their reception was crazy busy and full of entertaining people. Zack's mom is crazy wild and kept us all on our tows with her *energy*! First, almost breaks her ankle while dancing with Zack for the *mother/son dance* then her and her husband, Tim, take some risque photos in the photo booth and the night goes on like so...

Matt and Randy (and Tiff) get down on the dance floor and are soaking wet. Mat had the dance move of the night by sliding on the dance floor into Tiff while she was *getting down* and took her out. It was the best wipe out of the night!!

The photo booth was a hit. I am in charge of making the photo book so I wanted to make sure that everyone was writing on the cards to the Bride and Groom. I have got to say the kids really caught on to the idea and the adults never really got it at all. Matt and I got the cutest pic together (posted). I love it. I had a fun time!
congrats to Emily and Zack!!

i love HAMSTERS!

There is this new commercial out that is THE BEST!! I saw it while at a movie with Matt, cannot even remember what movie, just remember those hammies. I love hamsters.
Growing up I always had hamsters. It probably started when my parents went to Earl May Seed and Nursery every weekend when I was little. I would go check out the hamsters and fish. Yada yada yada...I had a lot of hamsters.
I saw this commercial and almost died. The hamster driving the car and dancing and tapping his cute little fingers to the beat of the music. Love it! I just wish Matt enjoyed it like I did, he didn't have hamsters growing up. Sad.

All Moved In

We are all moved into our new place. The paint is fresh, carpets are cleaned, and there is that new pair of shoes feeling. The feeling you have before they are broke in and dirtied up. Well, this place has that feel.

It is the cutest little place. One bedroom, we downsized from our last 2 places. But the rooms are a good size AND there is storage. Not anything different than you would think: kitchen pantry, linen closet, and a reasonable sized clothes closet for two people. All of those things were not necessarily in our last two Austin apts. That is probably why it did not have that homey feeling that I know we will have at this new home. I am so excited to get all unpacked and start living.

I do not want to give off the impression that the move was just point A to point B. This specific move was muliple steps because something like moving cannot be that easy. We moved out....we moved in....to Josh"s garage for 12 days then we were able to *remove* into our NEW place. So I should have titled this blog: Finally Moved In.
I am so excited and ready to start my blog!! I want to type really fast and get it all down since there has been so much going on this past 2 weeks. Where to begin?

We just moved into our new place in Lawrence, Kansas a couple days ago...looking forward to blogging!! oh wait i am ...blogging.
