Dec pages

products: fancy pants paper: christmas magic line (paper and tag), martha bakers twine and basic gray ribbons

products: jillibean soup paper line, making memories ribbon, letters and gitter emb, little yellow bicycle clear cuts journaling piece.

products: cosmo cricket paper line and stickers, october afternoon sticker, basic gray sugar rush paper as well as black and white cardstock. AND thickers.

I was inspired by Ali Edwards on this by using a marvy punch to use a little bit of each Christmas card send to us to make a page. this way i am not feeling guilty throwing anything away...i admit i love to keep cards. and the cards that people wrote special things i will put inside the album.

the process of the 'card' page...and the punch i used.

December Album 1

this weekend i decided to start my 'December album'. i got together all my winter papers and misc on the the island because there was more room and got to work! i am not usually a messy worker but today it seemed to work for me...

here i have been scrapping for more than 9 hours, a little bit of a neck ache...

my 8.5x11 December Album (cosmo cricket papers/sticker and shiny red thickers)

storting my December photos into groupings...

Sew Cute layout

yet again, i find a "martha" bargin at 'Big Lots'! yes these cute little fabric tomatos were only a buck!

i am showing how i replicated my tomato pin in my layout!

i love this american craft paper, craft fair line, it makes me smile and i haven't just wanted to used it on any old layout! the green felted letters are by thickers and were also purchased at 'Big Lots' on the same day as well. For only $2!

yay, i am so happy with the emblishments on this!!

Both sticker and button are American Craft line found at 'Tuesday Am' and 'Michaels'

8.5x11 xmas eve layout

i do not normally do 8.5x11 layouts but for the month of December i am making an album of just that. i am excited for this new challenge!

i love this saying that was with the cosmo cricket christmas collection this year. bc my gram and i are 'dig-dongs' and it was found at the same time i was doing this layout so it was ment to be.

i love the basic gray xmas brads! they are so pretty!

by the way i just wanted to know if there was anyone else like me... i have had the stupid show of American's Funniest Videos on but have not turned the channel or just plain off. the worst part, it has been on for hours..... due to the fact that i dont wanna stop scrapping.

in progess without the journaling, which i typed up in 3 collums on the computerand printed out then sprayed with glimmer mist. i actually went out in the snow to spray my papers tonight and now the snow is pretty too!!

first i pick my photos that are inspiring me now, then i pick my paper and emblishments! sometime if i have a lot of new pics or have a lot of time on my hands i will make packs in big zip locks so then when i am ready to work i can just pick one. that way it saves times with my pics and paper/emb already matched!!

shop layout 08

this is the first layout that i tried to the new Tim Holtz film stip ribbon. i used a mini attacher also by TH to secure the bottom but also decied to sew a line in pink to make sure it stayed in place.

i am really happy how this turned out. i got out my Hambly rubons and decided i had to incorporate them into this title. once i stuck the shopping bags bobunny sticker on i knew i needed to bring in another hint of yellow!

this is way back in 2008, which doesn't seem like that long ago but am sad that i haven't scrapped it yet since i just love these pics.

in the process...

Snow Day

Reagan knew it was a snow day before anyone else. He wanted to go frolic in the snow at 6 a.m. today before we were awake...or had to be up. And because i thought he had 'a reason' to be outside i put on my coat and boots and went out...for 15 mns. omg. it made me smile that he was so happy but i could not stop thinking how i should still be in bed. gurr. but how could you be mad at that face?

deep snow....

my favorite tree covered in snow!

it was so fresh and pretty

our snowy entry!

Grounds Hog's Day

I am a huge fan of rodents and because of this i do get a kick of a rodent having his very own 'holiday'. Today is Ground Hog's Day! Yes, its true he saw his shadown and we will have more winter. It was really gloomy out this a.m. when Mr. Goundhog saw his shadow but this afternoon was all sunny and nice...what does this mean? Will he, can he be wrong?

Time will only tell if trusting the fuzzy rodent really means we will have more winter...

I say, bring on the warm weather already!
